• Aceclofenac is an orally administered NSAID which is phenylacetic acid derivative.
    Mode of action:
Aceclofenac is a potent inhibitor of cyclooxygenase. Inhibition of COX leads to suppression of pro inflammatory prostaglandins & cytokines. Thus, it acts as analgesic & antipyretic by central as well peripheral action. It acts by multifactorial mechanisms.
The mode of action of OSSEDOL (aceclofenac) is largely based on the inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. Aceclofenac is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme cyclooxygenase, which is involved in the production of prostaglandins.
